We drove from Boerne, Texas to Lubbock, Texas, which took us about 6 to 7 hours. The KOA campsite was pleasant, and it was easy to set up since we didn't need to unhook the truck as we were only staying for one night. We planned to leave early in the morning to head to Raton, New Mexico. However, we are a bit concerned about the news of major winds with gusts of up to 60 mph and steady winds ranging from 25 to 35 mph. These conditions are not favorable for a high-profile camper.
