Off to the Races: Sprint Boat Races

Off to the races! Experience the excitement of the sprint boats! Indeed, we spent the entire weekend at the races. There was no need to drive home and rise early to secure parking and seating. We connected with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed watching the races.

Once again, this event did not provide any services; it was entirely off-grid. Our generators and solar panels were also up to the task here. 

After the event concluded and we were on our way home, we made a stop at Dungeness to empty our black water tanks.

Eric Church The Gorge Amphitheatre

Wow, what an experience. It was my first time at the Gorge Amphitheater. This was definitely boondocking camping, and they really had people packed in here.

We had an incredible time! Arriving a day early enabled us to secure a spot and bypass the traffic, which was unexpectedly absent. Opting to stay at Vantage both before and after the concert proved to be an excellent choice. The weather was ideal, with a gentle breeze when necessary, and it never reached the scorching temperatures we were warned about in that remote area.

It was a great time! Glad we came a day early to get a site, and get through all the traffic. We had none! which was amazing. Glad we stayed the day before and day after the concert at Vantage.

Vantage Riverstone RV Park on the way to See Eric Church

 We were en route to the Gorge Amphitheatre for the Eric Church, Jelly Roll & Hailey Whitters concert. To avoid loading the trailer with water while crossing mountain passes, we opted to stay at a nearby campground the day before and after the concert. This allowed us to fill up our water tanks and empty the toilets before heading to the gorge.

This RV spot was delightful, featuring an abundance of trees, tranquility, well-maintained restrooms, and a laundry area. The locale is quite compact, comprising merely a diminutive gas station and the Columbia River, which essentially encapsulates the entirety of this town.
