Dining Phat Fish Dickenson

Decided to go out and eat. Saw this restaurant Phat Fish Brewery on a billboard and thought we would try it out. We were tired from the road and didn't feel like cooking anything.

It was super busy on a Saturday night. I wasn't impressed at all!

We ordered drinks, but the beer I had was flat and warm, so I couldn't drink it. We also ordered appetizers, and then about 20 minutes later we ordered our pizza. The pizza came after about 30 minutes, but the appetizers still hadn't arrived. When we asked the waitress, she seemed to have forgotten about them. They finally arrived when we were almost done with the pizza.

Would I go back? Maybe. Would I recommend the place, maybe. The food was good, but the service sucked.

North Park RV Dickenson North Dakota

We have arrived at our next stop, Dickinson, ND. To regroup, we are staying at the North Park RV Campground for two nights. The park is set on 80 acres and has park models and long-term residents.

Remember the speed limit is 9 3/4!!! Not 10! It is 88 degrees this evening, and we had a smooth trip with no wind! It is just starting to get a little windy this evening.

Swans and moving America

I saw some swans as we left the campsite at Detroit Lakes!

Moving America! Trains, what RV spot would not be complete without either trains, or an airport or some type of highway noise. These trains were on the way out of Detroit Lakes, had to take a picture of some of the artwork on the trains.

Country Campground Detroit Lakes MN

We made it! The drive took about 5 hours, with construction and on a bumpy, rough 2-lane highway.

The campground is very nice, and the host was super friendly. He was taking care of the place while his wife was out of town on vacation, and I think he was handling it very well!

He came down on his cart and with his little leaf blower blew off the leaves again that fell from the trees.

He told many stories, one of which was interesting - he uses a clean, not a used, toilet brush. On the nap of the carpet in the back of the van, he brushes the carpet and uses the leaf blower, and the dust/dirt just blows away! Good tip!

He also mentioned that the Wi-Fi and stargazing are absolutely free!

Great to see that a campsite has it's own recycle place!

Oh and did I mention all the way thru South Dakota you see this sign?
