While in Mitchell, one must visit the Corn Palace! We took the self-guided tour, and it's amazing that all the murals are made out of corn. Of course, when in South Dakota, one must try sunflower seeds. They actually have the brand that I've started to really like, Wild Dutchman. They are less salty, and I like the roasted flavor. I also had to buy the Dakota Brothers popcorn.
We had breakfast at the Main Street Mercantile. The food and service was good.

They are changing the mural out front, they draw it on this paper and have it marked with the color's etc of the corn to use.
