We made it to the campground in San Antonio, but it was quite hectic getting into the park as it seemed over 50 campers were trying to do the same thing. The officials informed us that 120 campers were leaving while 110 were arriving, and it seemed like most of them were arriving at the same time as us. After checking in, we were assigned an escort who led us to our site, where we set up and explored the surroundings, although it was a hot and humid day. However, at night, the weather took a turn and there was an incredible lightning show that we got to witness from the comfort of our camper. The rain poured down heavily, and the wind was strong, accompanied by loud thunder. We were praying that there would be no hail. At one point during the night, the thunder was so strong that it shook our camper. It was an unbelievable experience.
Let's say this was one way to see if the trailer had any leaks. At least that test passed! This morning, it was hard to tell that anything had happened as everything looked normal again. We plan on spending the day exploring the surroundings and doing some laundry.
