Rest stop Kaycee Wyoming

Stopped at a rest stop outside of Casper, Kaycee rest stop. Never seen a livestock exercise area. Oh, and I do have to say, I am loving the new truck! I think Mr. G is liking it more and more! Ole Blackie ( our old 2000 dodge ram truck) is becoming a memory.

Owls and antelope

Went out again to search for antelope and, as expected, we encountered those adorable little burrowing owls. Had another wonderful day with my daughter—such a lovely evening after a day spent on the dusty roads of Wyoming chasing after that antelope. The sunset was great! And Ferguson is still great! Jacks will be coming up today and heading to South Dakota for our next stop.

Moose and Ferguson, they love carrots!

Dusty road adventures

Went out with Tylor Stankey and Kristine Goutermont Collins on a bow hunting dusty road adventure, searching for that elusive antelope buck. We saw some grouse, observed the owls again in daylight, and encountered cows and antelope. Been a nice little visit here, going to head to the store to stock up on some things and plan on heading out tomorrow--Destination, Piedmont, South Dakota.

this cow was so funny. He stood there as if he was the cattle crossing guard, letting all the other cows go across. He would look at both sides to see how many were left to go across.

We love Ferguson

Ferguson is our daughter's wild burro that she adopted. She also has Moose, who is the brown one. Our daughter has really worked with Ferguson to train him, and he has become a great burro.

She adopted Ferguson through the BLM program and had 100 days from the adoption date to enter Ferguson in a competition to show her progress in training him. She ended up taking 2nd place, missing first by just one point. Ferguson has a special place in all of our hearts. I think he needed her as much as she needed him.

Moose, who came later was also adopted thru the BLM program. She also has 3 mustangs that she has worked with and trained.

Drive around Casper

Took a little drive and we spotted some antelope and a burrowing owl.

Casper KOA Journey, Barr Nunn, Wyoming

We've arrived in Casper, WY, where we'll be staying at this KOA for the next three days before continuing our journey. The trip went smoothly, taking about 4 to 5 hours from our last stop. We estimate that we're averaging about 12 miles per gallon.

The RV park was easy to find, easy access...lots of people staying here.

Jackson KOA Minnesota

Made it to the next stop here in Jackson, MN. This is our last one stopper, then we will be in Maple Grove for a couple of days visiting f...
