KOA Ellensburg Washington

We woke up this morning to head down the road to Ellensburg, it was 31 degrees outside in Missoula, MT. Oh my--we needed to turn on the furnace to warm things up! It didn't get up pass 67 degrees all day. Guess fall is in the air.

We arrived at our final destination before heading back home tomorrow. It was a long day on the road, but it went by fast as we crossed many mountain passes and had to stay alert. We're staying at the KOA in Ellensburg, WA. There are lots of trees around the campground, which I'm sure helps keep it cooler in the summer when it can get rather warm. However, there is also a lot of highway noise due to its proximity to the very busy I-90 interstate.

50000 Silver Dollar, Lincoln Montana

Lincoln Silver Dollar, 50000 Silver's, have gone by this so many times and never stopped today, we stopped! Lots of stuff in this place that is for sure. One thing we found out is that they have free RV parking for the night--mental note! Free is good.

Winner winner Steak Dinner

We enjoyed a delightful steak dinner at the campsite. We grilled steak, salad, garlic bread, and potatoes, and savored a glass of sauvignon blanc wine.

Jim and Mary's RV Park Missoula Montana

We got up and set out on the road again. The winds weren't too bad this morning when we arrived at the RV spot. So had semi smooth sailing on the highway.

Super nice small RV park.  Easy to find off the interstate. It must be beautiful in summer with all the blooming flower pots and flowers around.

Columbus, Montana

We returned to the Mountain Range RV campground, where we had stayed on our way to Minnesota. They are currently adding about 50 to 60 more sites. During our stay, a De Luxe custom motorhome arrived. It was truly impressive!

Columbus, Montana is a full-service community of approximately 2000 people.  It is situated on the north bank of the Yellowstone River and is located about 40 miles west of Billings, Montana’s largest city. This quiet community boasts many recreational activities and is a fisherman’s paradise.  Columbus also serves as a gateway to the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains and Yellowstone National Park.

The town of Columbus is going to take a major hit as The Stillwater mine in town is closing and laying off 700 people. This is not good for the town or for the families.

Also had a little visitor come see me.

this is the truck that was pulling that trailer, think he likes golf since it said on the front 18 holes and still counting, also from Florida.

dinner was sloppy joes, salad, and the left over mango salad.
